With about 25 people in attendance at the Endicott Estate’s ballroom on Tuesday evening, October 10, prize-winning watercolorist Bill Lane conducted a demonstration for the Dedham Art Association.
A resident of North Attleborough, Massachusetts, Lane was introduced that evening by DAA President Naomi Wilsey. She said in part, “Bill is a professional watercolorist. He’s a member of the Copley Society. He’s also in the New England Watercolor Society as a signature member.” She added that he has won numerous first-place awards at art shows.
While music played at low volume, Lane sketched a painting of the lighthouse called Rose Island Light in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island, and answered questions from the audience.
